Pera me Āio
Pera me Āio is a kids' clothing label built with family. Rakai's daughter, Haromi— herself a young mother — and Rakai developed a collection of fabric designs together, drawing on his illustration practice and a production relationship with a small cottage-industry maker in Bali with whom he's worked with for over 10 years.

The SS25–26 range takes its motifs from Ngāhere and te taiao o Aotearoa — bush, fern, native flower and bird forms rendered as bold, hand-drawn repeat prints, cut into rompers and shirt-and-short sets built to be worn hard, at the beach, in the garden, up a tree.
