Āio te Ata
The fabric collection grew out of furniture. Having already designed and installed banquette seating in recycled Tawa timber for Hapī Ora, a conversation with long-time collaborator Gretta about cushioning it turned into something larger — a bespoke textile range, developed from scratch and produced in-house rather than sourced. Woven in 45% hemp and 55% organic cotton, extended from banquette and bench cushions into tablecloths and cushion covers. What began as a fix for bare timber became a considered textile language running through the whole eatery.
