Hawke's Bay Museum
When Hawke's Bay Museum retired the name MTG, the brief was never just a new logo — it was a return to something older. Through kōrero with Ngāhiwi Tomoana, who gifted the new names, the museum became two: Kahukura in Napier, the public face of exhibitions, theatre and gallery; Amokura in Hastings, the home of the collection, research and archive.

The brand identity was built from the meaning inside the names rather than applied over them — carried through into a website with the same restraint, before being handed over to Napier City Council's IT team to take into the CMS. Across both, the aim was the same: let two buildings and 160 years of kaitiakitanga read as one story, told with care.
